Most novice or junior distance triathlons take between 15 to 40 minutes to complete depending on age. Training is always a good idea (and lots of fun), especially if you aren't used to doing exercise for that long. There's nothing like doing triathlons if you want to get better at them, so enter lots of races and watch yourself improve. But if you'd like to train in between races, you can practice your swimming, cycling and running by doing the following:

Swimming:
We have an arrangement with White Oak Swimming Club where by our members can swim twice a week without actually joining. There will be a monthly fee for this training and swimmers may compete in the White Oak Swimming Club Championships and swim for them in galas against other clubs (if picked). Please see Paul Fisher if you are interested.

Cycling / Running:
We run training sessions each weekend during the summer months and plan to offer turbo sessions on the bikes during the winter months.
