 Click to join the e mail group | 2008 Children's Triathlon After discussions with Dartford College this morning it has become clear that the pool is not going to be open by the weekend and so the discision has been taken to cancel this year's Children's Triathlon. Those entrants that have had their cheques cashed will receive a refund in the week or so. We propose to distroy those cheques received recently that have not been presented to our bank. If anyone has concerns please ring Paul on 01322 403488 between 18:00 and 21:00. IronKid Congratulations to Adam Fisher who finished 4th in theTristar2 catagory at IronKids Junior Duathlon in Sherborne, competing in cold, wet and windy conditions. Click here for results. La Santa Aquathon Congratulations to Ruairi Dennehy who once again finished in first place in the Club La Santa Aquathon. The aquathlon was a 200m swim and 3km run, and he finished in a time of 20m.26s. He was expected to show well in the swim leg, but his run time for this distance in the very hot and windy conditions was excellent. He also ran the 4.4km leg of the mini triathlon which consisted of a tough uphill first 2km and then into a stong onshore wind back to the finish. His time of 24m 5secs was very good. Arun Triathlon Adam Fisher was once again the only White Oak member competing at Arun and finished 7th in a field of 27 children in the TriStart 2 category. Click here to see the results. Deal Triathlon Congratulations to Adam Fisher who was the sole White Oak member at the Deal Kids Fun Triathlon. He finished 12th from a very competitive 32 entrants. Click here to see the full results. Brighton Aquathon Congratulations to Adam Fisher on his second place and Ross Fisher on his third place at the Brighton Aquathon (29th April). Running Training Some junior members are now running regularly on Thursday evenings with Cambridge Harriers at Sutcliffe Park. Others run at the Dartford Athletics Track in Dartford Central Park on Tueday and Thursday evenings. The Dartford session is one hour from 6:30pm. £1.50 is payable for entry to the track. La Santa Aquathon 2006 Congratulations to Ruairi Dennehy on his first place in the Club La Santa Aquathon. Club La Santa sports training centre is used by tri-athletes and ironmen from around the globe and their is always stiff competition. The aquathlon was a 200m swim and 3km run, and he finished in a time of 22m.29s. He also ran the 4.4km leg of the mini triathlon in an excellent time of 25m 6secs. Bicester Triathlon Congratulations to all the club members that competed in the Bicester Triathlon. Kate Curran finished 3rd in the Tristar 1 category and Adam Fisher came home 13th in the Tristar 2's. Click here for the full results Wantage Aquathon Congratulations to the members that competed at Wantage Monday, 1st May. Kate Curran won the Tristar 1 category; Adam Fisher came home 3rd in the Tristar 2's and Ford Curran finished 2nd in the Tristar 3 boys event. National Biathlon Finals Congratulations to Adam Fisher and Jake Housego who competed in the National Biathlon Championships at Sheffield on Saturday and Sunday morning. Adam finished 14th in the Biathlon Youth E boys with a run time of 4:13:39 on a very cold and hilly 1k course and a new pb of 33.58sec for 50m frontcrawl in the Ponds Forge 50m pool. Jake finished 24th in the same catagory with a run time of 4:15.45 and a 50m frontcrawl time of 38.75sec. Click here for full result. SE Regional Biathlon Championships Congratulations to Adam Fisher who finished 6th and Jake Housego who came 7th in the SE Regional Biathlon Championships. Adam has been invited to the National Biathlon Finals in Sheffield on the strength of this result. Click here for the results. Inter-Regional Championships 2005 Congratulations to Ford Curran who finished 7th in the Inter-Regional Championships helping the South East Team win the Championships. Click here for the results. The 6th White Oak Children's Triathlon Congratulations to all the competitors that raced at this years Children's Triathlon and many thanks to all the marshals that helped in the organisation and running of the event. Click here for full results. We also used the occasion to launch a Junior Section of what has up to now been an adult only Tri Club. The Juniors have there own web pages and e-group where training and event details will be displayed and members can post messages. 2005 Junior Membership The Junior Section of White Oak Tri Squad was launched at the 6th White Oak Children's Triathlon and many membership forms were taken. As the race season is almost over this year there will be no membership fee for the rest of 2005. Training sessions will start soon so that we can start to prepare for next year's races. To join up, please, download the membership form, complete it and save it to your pc. Then e mail a copy to the address on the form.
