Eireman
Congratulations to Mick Andrews on his finish at Eireman, the Ironman distance race held in Co. Wexford, Ireland on 23rd August. The weather was so bad that the sea swim was cancelled and 40 mph gusts of wind were reported. Splits to follow.

Lake swimming
Finally the lake at Dartford is ready for us to use. Lake swimming will commence on Monday 24th August and continue on Monday evenings until the light becomes a problem. The lake will be available between 18:00 an 20:00 initially. Click here for a map showing the lake. For Bank holiday Monday 31st the lake will be available from 17:00.

Dextro Energy Triathlon
It was a great weekend for triathlon in Hyde Park. The weather was good and the world's best athletes raced on Saturday covered live on BBC1. The cameras had, however, all gone when the age groupers raced on Sunday. Congratulations to those that took part. Special mentions must go to Ross Fisher on his 10th fastest swim time on the day (with no wetsuit on) and Roy Knight on his 3rd in his age group. Click here to view all the results.
