the championships aren't the Elite World Championships but are instead

Ireland is one. It gives these countries a chance to demonstrate any potential
talent they have and, if successful, qualify for places in the 2004 Olympics!

Powerman was tough, the first run was a bit long - probably more like 8 miles and a very rolling course so imagine trying to run 8 miles around, say, the Southwater relays run course and you get the picture. The bike was again a rolling type course, with a few steep climbs, which probably helped because you were not always on tri bars and you were using different sets of muscles and is less strain on the lower back. The second run was similar to the first run but only 5 miles. I finished with a time of 3 hours 10 minutes - Marcus Paris Marathon- Well done to Alex Tyrrell finished the Paris Marathon just missing out on a PB at 3:22. |
